It Started with a problem

Yet, for some reason, most of us settle for pants that just "kind of work." We constantly hear friends complain about pants that are either too tight, too loose, or just... off.
And this problem hits close to home for us.

Our Story
Coming from three generations of textile expertise (our grandfather started Banswara Syntex back in 1976), we grew up understanding fabrics and fits. But despite all that knowledge, finding pants that actually fit well was still a challenge.
Dhruv, especially, struggled with this — being an in-between size with athletic thighs meant most pants were either too tight or too loose.
Our Story
Coming from three generations of textile expertise (our grandfather started Banswara Syntex back in 1976), we grew up understanding fabrics and fits. But despite all that knowledge, finding pants that actually fit well was still a challenge.
Dhruv, especially, struggled with this — being an in-between size with athletic thighs meant most pants were either too tight or too loose.
The big idea
That got us thinking... what if we could combine our family's textile expertise with modern technology to solve this seemingly universal problem?
What if we could make pants that actually fit Indian body types, using the best fabrics from around the world, but crafted right here in India?
Making it happen
So, we got to work.
We launched The [Pant] Project in 2020 with that mission.
Between Dhruv's business background from Wharton and his struggle to find well-fitting pants, and Udit's creative eye from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, we saw an opportunity to solve a problem that seemed surprisingly universal.
We set out to make pants that don't just fit better, but feel better too.
Making it happen
So, we got to work.
We launched The [Pant] Project
in 2020 with that mission.
Between Dhruv's business background from Wharton and his struggle to find well-fitting pants, and Udit's creative eye from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, we saw an opportunity to solve a problem that seemed surprisingly universal.
We set out to make pants that don't just fit better, but feel better too.

We launched with a simple idea: combine traditional tailoring wisdom with modern technology to make pants that actually fit.
Not just "they'll do" fit, but "these-were-made-for-me" fit.
We wanted to make it easy for guys to get pants that make them feel confident and comfortable, without the usual hassle of multiple store visits or complicated measurements.
Today, we are a team of people who genuinely obsess over things most people never think about — like four-way stretch fabrics and expandable waistbands. We geek out over details like shirt-grippers and wrinkle resistance because we believe these small things add up to make a big difference in how you feel throughout your day.
